Credit Card Settings
By default, Cab9 supports Judo Pay and Stripe as payment service providers.
In order to use Judo Pay please follow this link where you will need to create a merchant account and Judo Pay will assist with the onboarding process. Once complete, please paste the required credentials into the required fields, or contact us to assist you.
In order to begin to take card payments via Cab9, or the passenger app it will be necessary to register with either provider (Stripe takes 10 minutes and we heartily recommend it).
Once you have set up your account and completed the registration. Simply copy and paste the API keys into Cab9. The system will then refresh and the credentials will have been added.
Please note that the providers themselves can take up to 12 hours to register the API into their systems. so don’t expect it to work immediately.
Once this process is complete you will be able to add card details to passengers and accounts. We recommend you place your account into ‘sandbox‘ mode and use the Testing keys in the first instance until you feel your way around the credit card thing if you are not familiar with it.
Cab9 is completely PCI compliant and at no point do we, or you, store any identifiable card details beyond the last 4 digits and the card type.
The entire pre-auth/payment transaction is taken care of in a secure manner using ‘tokens’ and the payment service provider.
Essentially Cab9 produces a token to the card provider proving it has card details and requests a payment against that card. The rest is taken care of by the PSP.
Please ensure that your ‘agent versus principle’ settings are correct in your Cab9 setup to ensure the correct VAT (if any) is applied to credit card payments.
